Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon. FIRST UK PRESS of this classic album released in 1973 on the EMI Harvest label, catalogue number SHVL 804. Matrix numbers are A3 and B2. This copy is COMPLETE with the ORIGINAL POSTERS AND STICKERS in NEAR MINT condition. The posters have never been pinned or stuck to a bedroom wall as most copies around have these days ! There are no pin holes or any other defacements. The stickers still have their backing in place and have never been used in any way ! There is only some very slight discolouration which is to be expected for items approaching 40 years old. The vinyl plays superbly with only a handful of very light clicks and barely audible surface noise in a very few places. The audio reproduction on this first pressing is so much sharper than on later cuts. It really is quite different and far superior with FANTASTIC DETAIL AND PRESENCE !! Unfortunately here is the downside. 'Money' has several skips for the first half and a peculiar intermittent low level hissing noise in a few places. The record has been cleaned with AM Denmark fluid and this still persists, so I don't know what is causing it and whether another cleaning method would eradicate it. A shame, as it plays with NO DISTORTION from groove wear or other problems. The sleeve has some scuffing and ringwear to the rear and some wear to the edges as can be seen in the photos.
