Description
The Dark Side of the Moon A-3/B-2
This is the very first pressing after the iconic solid blue label A2/B2 pressings and is in wonderful condition. This pressing is all the more rare because it was manufactured in relatively low numbers so to find one in this condition is rare.
Sadly there are no posters or stickers.

The vinyl is Ex+ (Near Mint in many sections)
The gatefold cover is Ex
The original inner sleeve is Ex
The labels are Near Mint- Visual grading
There are only a few faint hairlines caused by sleeve removal and no scratches at all. A little shading on 'Time' but this has little affect on the audio. An extremely clean vinyl and very well looked after over 40 plus years. On S1 there is hardly any spindle wear and just a little more on S2.
Play grading
After a few seconds of initial static Side One plays with stunning audio. 'On The Run' plays with amazing quality and is one of the best versions I have heard. This side would grade as Near Mint but for a little distortion during 'Time' but still plays extremely well, just not quite as good as the others! Apart from very minor static at the beginning of 'Great Gig...' the track plays with exceptional audio and the quiet ending is sublime with no interference whatsoever.
'Money' begins with a little crackle but soon disappears and then plays with great clarity and no background interference. The remainder of the side has wonderful audio and barely any static. Rarely do you hear such fine quality on an A3/B2 pressing. 'Eclipse' as is often the case plays with a little distortion.
Gatefold cover
The Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold is in excellent shape with only minor shelf wear. In my opinion this is a hybrid between the midnight blue and the black covers as it doesn't have the exact hue of the midnight blue ones but also isn't perfectly black. This is entirely possible of course when you consider it is the first pressing after the ones that had the midnight blue gatefolds.
There is a little mark inside the triangle on the front and some rubbing to the corners but the edges are very clean indeed. The spine, whilst in excellent order, does have some creasing on the bottom corner. The inside is in superb condition and the back cover is the same except for one very small tear to the opening edge.
Inner sleeve
This has the original die-cut black polylined inner sleeve with patent number and "Made in Great Britain" in silver at the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no splits to the edges, just a small one on the centre 'window'.
Labels
They are both in superb condition with hardly any spindle wear on Side One, just a little more on Side Two.
