Excellent almost mint Vinyl.

All Floyd collectors know about the solid blue prism on the label of the first press of this album.

What is not widely known is a genuine second press of this album is much harder to come by.

I have watched as almost every week a 1st press of this album is shown but I have only seen just three genuine second presses over the last four years..

Many inexperienced sellers will tell you that a common EMI label is a second press in a black sleeve with white inner.

The second press of this album replaced the solid blue triangle because it was thought that the writing on the light blue background was hard to see.

As we all know this was replaced with the blue outline triangle, but only for a very short run the vinyl labels were with THEGRAMOPHONE CO LTD. ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACURER  printed around the outer edge of the vinyl labels, (see pictures) soon after the transition from the solid blue to the blue outline triangle, again the label was changed to the more common EMI record company around this edge, but only a few were pressed baring the Gramophone record company around the edge of the label, This is one of them.

An original second press has the above matrix numbers and letters

It has the dark blue gatefold outer sleeve NOT the black one.

It has the original black polly lined inner with the patent applied for.

And it has two posters and two postcards.

All albums will be . Vinyl’s and inserts will be packed separately The complete package will then be placed into a stiff card package and two stiffeners added.

The package will be clearly marked

FRAGILE PLEASE DO NOT BEND OR DROP.

Buyers address will be put on both sides of the package and also my own address just to be safe in case, god forbid the album was lost in the post.
