I WILL BE TAKING A BREAK FROM SELLING SOON, UNTIL FALL. HI. Up for auction is a SEALED MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB pressing of Pink Floyd's "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON"! Vinyl record. MFSL 1-017 from 1981. Sealed in baggy style that MFSL used back in the day. The album itself is NOT sealed, this is the way they did things. Gatefold cover. Has factory breathe holes. I don't see any creases. The corners look good and the shrink is intact. Hard to find like this. The labels should be white. There is ia "Licorice Pizza" price tag on the front cover. Weird name?? There was an entire chain of these stores in southern Califonia back in the day. MFSL had factories in England & Japan. According to Discogs, this was probably made at the Japan factory. These albums generally cost about 3 times what the normal stock copy cost. The sound was much better, and most thought it was worth the price.There are lots of fingerprints that seem to be under the shrink wrap. I have handled at least 25 of these MFSL albums in the past years. There are always fingerprints under the shrink. The pressing, packaging and wrapping process at pressing plants involved many different people handling the records. Most employees, if not all of them, did not wear gloves before they placed the record into the inner sleeve and then wrapped it. I have in my possesion at least 8 more MFSL albums, all sealed, and they all have fingerprints under the wrap. This copy has lots of them. See the pictures. There is no way that this album was resealed, in my opinion. Just wanted the buyer to know all this. This is a super nice copy, dating back to 1981! This great album will be shipped in a protective poly cover and packed very well. Bid with confidence. I have been on here for around 23 years now. Any questions, just ask.
