Genuine 1st complete UK pressing have the following.....

Gatefold Cover: Very dark blue gatefold cover made from thickish cardboard. This one is.

Front Cover:  On some (but not all) 1st issues, one side of the gatefold cover is factory-sealed. This one is factory sealed.

Back Cover: Inverted prism. In the upper right corner, it says: " SHVL 804, (IE 064-05249), stereo." This one does.

Inside Cover:  "Printed and made by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd." in blue text in lower left corner. This one does.

Cover Sticker: Some copies had a round title sticker on the cover and some did not. This one has.

Inner Sleeve:  Die cut black inner sleeve with patent no. 1,123,535 in silver at the base of the sleeve. This one has this patent number but is not die-cut.

Pyramid Poster: A six-pane Blue pyramid.  There is no catalogue number on the poster. This one is a 1st pressing with no catalogue number

Group Poster: A six-pane group shot poster in landscape style with "SHVL 804" in the bottom right corner. This one is a first pressing with the SHVL 804 text.

Brown graphics sticker: A brown/dark blue/yellow/green self-adhesive sticker with Dark Side of the Moon graphics. Matte. The backing paper is tan with 45 degree angled diagonal stripes of dark brown from the top to bottom, and "FasPrint Permanent," and "Crack Back Patented." on the paper (also found printed on a white backing paper with lighter colors on the front). There is no catalog number on the sticker. This is the first pressing.

Yellow graphics sticker: A yellow/sky blue/green self-adhesive sticker with Dark Side of the Moon graphics. Matte. The backing paper is tan with 45 degree angled diagonal stripes of dark brown from the top to bottom, and "FasPrint Permanent," and "Crack Back Patented." on the paper (also found printed on a white backing paper with lighter colors on the front). There is no catalog number on the sticker. This is the first pressing.

Labels: Black Harvest label with solid light blue triangle (prism). At the bottom center of the label it says "Made in GT Britain." This one does.

Matrix Numbers: A2/B2 matrix numbers. This one has A2/B2 matrices.

Text around the top edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock and says: “The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. This one has.

Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says: “Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited. This one has.

Condition of this item...........................

Cover: Outside is VG and inside is Near Excellent. No writings, doodles or seam splits. Some fading/wear to edges/corners/spine and some crease lines/nicks on front cover. Rates as VG overall.

Front cover sticker: Excellent. 

Labels: VG only. Both sides have some rubbing to the blue prism - see scans. No names or stickers. The previous owner put his name on the blue prism on both labels - he then tried to remove them with stain remover - this is what has caused the rubbing to the blue prisms.

Black inner sleeve without die-cut but with 'patent' text: Excellent.  

Posters: 2 x 1st pressing posters. Near Mint.

Postcards: 2 x 1st pressing peelable sticky-back postcards. Both remain unused and are Excellent+.

Vinyl: Thick heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. Play tested. Both sides look Near Excellent with a nice sheen and some light feathering plus a couple of small light scratches. No skips/jumps. Side 1 has some crackle on the quiet run-in to track1 but plays VG+ to Near Excellent for the rest of the side. Side 2 plays Near Excellent to Excellent. Used but not abused condition.

If the item has to be returned, in addition to refunding your payment I will also refund your initial postage costs when buying the item. However, I'm afraid I cannot reimburse you for the postage cost for returning the item.

Gradings.......

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc

Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
