Description
PINK FLOYD - DARK SIDE OF THE MOON 1973 UK 1st Press. Harvest Records. Stereo. With 2 Excellent Gatefold Sleeves. Vinyl Excellent + Posters and 2 Post Card Stickers
Vinyl - Thick heavy vinyl that is only found on the 1st pressings. Looks amazing, EX condition, but the sound is what really stands out on this particular pressing. The sound quality is beautifully clear, precise and clear. No clicks, jumps or hiss. The first pressing definitely enjoys a brighter and crisper sound than later pressings.Visually, it has a few minor faint lines but to be honest you would only see them if you looked under a very strong light.
InnerSleeve - original black inner with Patent 1125555 printed on it.
Sleeves (2) - I purchased the album with 2 sleeves; the first sleeve is a Bluey Black matt colour with (IE 064 05249) and STEREO on the back top right. The overall grading of this is EX, with only a very few signs of use (but remember, the album is over 40 years old!). The "spare" sleeve has the front flap glued, which I have been told may indicate that is one of the very first proof sleeves, but I am not certifying this, so please remember this when bidding! The edges are straight with no indentations and the corners are sharp with just minor rub. There is some light edge wear on the bottom, and the top right corner has worn away the colour a little. Spine has a couple of small scuffs.
Posters/Sticker - both the posters and in excellent condition (see photos) with no rips, tears or writing. The back of the stickers have "permanent" printed on them.
