Description
On offer here is a rare early press of The Dark Side Of The Moon. Released in 1973 on the Harvest label (SHVL 804) the vinyl is in very good condition for its age. The matrix numbers are A5/B5 and stampers 5 / GOD and 5 / GOD
Imprinted on the label is "The Gramophone Company Limited" denoting an early press. There are a number of faint hairlines but I would say these are mainly from when the record has been removed from the sleeve. There are no deep scratches at all.
The Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover is in excellent condition for 41 years old with only mild wear. Slight rubbing on the bottom two corners and slight marking/ringwear on the reverse. Overall though this is a very clean copy for such an early press. The colours still shine brilliantly and it still retains a strong thick spine.
Both posters and stickers are included and are in excellent co ndition - no marks or pin pricks.
The vinyl I would grade as VG+
The gatefold cover is Ex
The posters are Ex+
The stickers are Ex (slight wear)
The labels are Ex (some spotting)
