1973 UK QUADRAPHONIC EMI HARVEST Q4SHVL 804 (1-G & 1-R)

A excellent very rare UK quadraphonic issue in superb EX++/NM condition. The record is pressed using excellent quality thick 180 gram vinyl, this thicker pressing guarantees superior sound quality to that of the flimsier 125 gram pressings. This copy is also the earliest possible pressing for this release with the extremely rare early A-1 & B-1 codes and the mother stampers 1-G & 1-R.

Both sides of the vinyl look in absolutely superb condition, there are no marks, scuffs or scratches at all and the only visible marks are a few ultra-fine sleeve withdrawal hairlines which are visible when the vinyl is tilted toward a certain light, these are very minor indeed and obviously have no affect on play, both sides are very glossy and reflective and actually look very near brand new, both sides play and sound brilliant with clean and very clear sound quality with some very minor and only very occasional light background crackle, this is almost none at all as both sides play close to new.
Both labels are in EX++ condition.
The gatefold sleeve is made in the UK by Garrod & Lofthouse and it is in excellent condition, the card used to make this gatefold sleeve is thinner and more delicate to that used for the standard issue. There are no nasty defects to mention at all as this sleeve is just in superb condition throughout apart from just minor edge wear.
The original poly-lined QUADRAPHONIC SOUND EMI advertising inner sleeve is in EX+ defect free condition. This inner seems to have a slightly different layout and text to the one mentioned in the pink floyd archives. The bottom text states 'MADE AND PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN', Patents Nos. 1,125.555 * 1,072,884.
