Matrix : SHVL 804 A2//B2 Issue : UK Complete 1st Press
This is the rare UK 1st press of 'Dark Side Of The Moon' by Pink Floyd. This rare 1st press is complete with the very earliest A2/B2 matrix, 2 original stickers and the white border posters. It also comes complete with the important rare matt factory sealed edge gatefold sleeve and 1st press polylined black inner sleeve.
The record is in Good condition. The vinyl has a high gloss, with a number of light marks and a small fault at the very start that means the record has to start a couple of seconds in. On playing the sound is extremely warm, vibrant and clear. There is noise especially at the start of 'Breathe' and some in 'Great Gig In The Sky.' The label is completely clean. The black is still solid and the silver text and blue triangle are vivid. There is some spindle wear. 'The Gramophone Company' text can be clearly seen around the rim. The record is complete with the scarce polylined black inner sleeve.
The 2 stickers have not been peeled and are in Excellent condition. The posters are completely clean and are also in superb Excellent condition.
The 1st press lighter blue/black matt, sealed edge Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve is in Very Good condition. The black is bold, the colours are vivid and the white is wonderfully bright. The essential factory sealed edge is still completely intact and firm. There is some edge, corner and ring wear and a small pin hole at the top. The inside has a little wear but still has sharp blue text and crisp sharp lyrics. The spine is still very firm and the whole cover is solid.
