PINK FLOYD- Dark Side of the Moon SOLID BLUE prism

Description

Wow!!! A rare Lp (SHVL 804, A2 B2 first press Matrix), this is the withdrawn very first pressing with the solid blue prism labels that was only available for an incredibly short ammount of time (some say a day!) as Harvest decided the labels were difficult to read and changed it to the MUCH more widely available standard prism immediately. This copy is in VG/VG condition. The sleeve is intact with no splits or tears but has some sticker damage on the top right hand front corner. I don't believe this is the original sleeve for this press (standard glued sleeve not an inwardly folded flap with glue) which is a shame, however many sellers wouldn't be as honest (it's the sleeve I bought it in). The record is standard VG and it has some surface scratches. I played it recently and even though it sounded superb to me there are a couple of things to point out. There's a backgound ticking noise on the second half of 'The Great Gig in the Sky' during the quieter female vocal piece and also one at the beginning of 'Money' on the second side (these are the only 2 marks/scratches that are feelable under your finger). Light crackle between tracks too and on some quiet passages. Having pointed out it's faults, as a used but loved record, it sounds ACE!!! IMPORTANTLY - NO Skips at all!!! Turn it up for that EMI/HARVEST quality... Dare I say the sacriligious comment of  'Enjoy the crackle, it feels like the 70's again!'... ALSO has two original posters with it in nice condition (no tears)

A decent honest playable copy of this amazing LP (don't forget just how great this LP is anyway!!), maybe a rare opportunuty to buy an affordable one too!!!! Don't miss out.........
