First pressing original with:

Gatefold cover

First press matrix in dead wax: "F16 #14 / G27 #1

First press Text around bottom edge of label starts at 8 o'clock and says: 

"Mfd. by Capitol Records, Inc., a subsidiary of Capitol Industries, Inc., U.S.A. - ® Capitol Marca Reg. - U.S. Pat. No. 2,631,859".     (later issues start at 10 o clock).   (see my label pics)

YEAR / ORIGIN : 1971 USA

VINYL CONDITION: MINT- / NM-   Glossy Thick inflexible original vinyl 

COVER CONDITION: Gatefold  Strong VG to VG+  No seam splits, light edge wear, ringwear / white rub marks bottom front cover and back cover.See all pics

PLAY GRADED: Ultra strong crisp sound fidelity.  Barely any surface noise throughout album.. Noticeable surface noise the first 17 sec of the very quiet intro of "One Of These Days"....then plays very clean thereafter.  

Next day shipping. Vinyl & cover separated and placed in 4 mil professional poly bag and then packaged in a very sturdy 2 ply Lp mailer with an additional cardboard filler pad added  for extra protection.

Vinyl grading: 

M   Mint (like new, looks Unplayed!)  (Superior play) 

NM   Near Mint  (very clean, barely a mark)  (Plays Great!) 

VG++   Excellent (some very light scuffs or hairlines) (Nice Play…barely any surface crackle)

VG+   With a decent amount of scuffs and hairlines (with obvious surface noise)

VG   Very scratched (but plays much better than the appearance seems to be)

Cover Grading:  

NM    Cover shows no seam splits, no ringwear, barely any or no edge wear.

NM-    Same as NM but may have 1 or 2 small imperfections which are not significant

VG++   Perhaps a neatly taped seam split or two, or some creases, or some light ringwear or a combination of these

VG+    Often strong signs of ringwear, or many seam splits, or large very noticeable creases, or stains or a combination of these

VG  An unappealing cover in many ways but the rareness of the album or the high quality of the vinyl makes the album still worthwhile to the listener
