Description
PINK FLOYD - MEDDLE
A very nice copy of this 1971 UK original with impressive stereo sound quality and gorgeous textured outer gatefold sleeve
Year/Label : 1971 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 795 Matrix numbers : SHVL 795 A-1U, SHVL 795 B-1U Stampers : 2 AG / 3 P0Very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl - flat and retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen and coming across as virtually unmarked in normal daylight, and it is only with close scrutiny under a bright light that a some very wispy hairlines and extremely fine paper scuff lines come into view on both sides - nothing feelable and all appearing to be purely superficial - and a single tiny (4mm) and just feelable light scratch towards the middle of "One Of This Days" which does result in x6 light background clicks, but nothing else to impinge upon the otherwise excellent stereo sound quality. The labels are in excellent (EX) condition - just a few extremely light small spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label and a very minor small and non-obvious very light handling/storage mark on each label. A solid excellent (EX) condition Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold 1st press textured (inside as well as outside) outer sleeve - firm edges devoid of any scuffing, a rigid and unmarked spine with all spine text perfectly intact, perfectly defined right angled corners with barely any rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, and all colours, art work and text remaining in great condition with perfect definition still. There are just a couple of tiny insignificant "dinks" on the reverse side opening edge but nothing to prevent this iconic 70's sleeve remaining eminently presentable. Overall excellent (EX) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats or distortion and any background crackle is only very occasional, at an absolute minimum, and does not impede upon the impressive sound quality at all with great tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction. The only blemishes are the aforementioned x6 light clicks about half way through "One Of These Days" and the very occasional light random click (for which I can determine no obvious cause). A great listen. Comes with original EMI/Harvest poly-lined inner sleeve with no splits or tears or edge fraying though there is noticeable mild age discolouration towards the edges and some mild creasing in three of the corners. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A very nice condition copy of this 1971 UK original Pink Floyd classic - these 1st pressings are becoming increasingly hard to find now.
POSTAGE COSTS :
