PINK FLOYD'S CLASSIC 1971 STUDIO ALBUM: MEDDLE
Early Pressing from 1971 with Matrices: A7/B6.
What can I say about this record? It's from my collection, bought in Reading around the time of release. It wasn't until I took it out of the sleeve that I remembered that I used to have 2 copies, one of which was bought as a present and which I played extensively. This particular copy, as far as I can recall, has NEVER BEEN PLAYED!! (Except by me just now - to grade it).
It looks and sounds BRAND NEW. I think that more dust settled on the vinyl surface just now when I took it out of the inner sleeve than it has ever experienced since the day it was pressed. I could go on about the deep black of the vinyl and total lack of any marks on it, the brilliant lemon and green of the labels, the absence of any spindle marks, but I won't. I think that everyone knows what a new record looks like and this is one!
The Gatefold Sleeve is, again, PERFECT, except for a little storage wear which cannot be seen unless you're looking for it. The open edges are dead sharp, the spine is rigid, the texture of the sleeve can be felt, inside and out, just as it was when made by the lovely people at Garrard & Lofthouse Ltd.
This is THE opportunity to get your hands on what must be one of the only, if not THE ONLY, Mint copies of this classic 1970s Psych album.
