Includes laminated gatefold picture sleeve plus Japanese/lyric booklet with portrait insert & silver picture 'Rock Now' obi-strip

ITEM DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION: I've done some research on this record and here's what I found: records printed in Japanese facilities, especially during the 60's and 70's, are highly sought after for the precision craftsmanship and superior sound reproduction, which is no doubt the case with this particular Pink Floyd record. They supposedly used a special ingredient in their manufacturing to prevent static buildup...some believe this is why the records are "more shiny" than pressings from elsewhere in the world. They decided to accompany the higher quality records with higher quality packaging. You'll find a sweet lyrics booklet in English and Japanese, heavier material used for the cover, and most prized and sought after Obi fabric sash!!!. In my not-so-professional-but-hey-I'm-seeing-the-details opinion of the quality, it is overall in Near Mint condition. The corners of the cover are a little worn out, but otherwise the rest is pristine. The sash shows very few signs of wear. The inserts are in similar shape. But to me, being a working musician and fan of the Floyd, the most exciting thing is the condition of the actual vinyl. Apart from a few light scratches on both sides (which, to my ears, make no difference to the sound or playback), the record is in GORGEOUS condition. It has this remarkable prismatic rainbow sheen when you hold it in the proper light! Whoever had this before me only listened to it once or twice, same goes for me, and it's been very well stored and maintained. One of the finest record listening experiences I've ever had.

BACKSTORY/ETC: I bought this from a well known British record store, where I bought it in almost the exact same state as it presently resides. As I mentioned above, I only listened to the record a few times and was blown away. I've heard "Meddle" in CD and MP3 form a bunch, so I was startled by all the nuance that simply isn't in the digital realm as I know it. I've kept it stored in the proper position and temperature since I acquired it, and cleaned/discharged the static after each listen. I partially bought it as an investment and it's simply time to move it along.
