PINK FLOYD
MEDDLE
ORIGINAL UK HARVEST RELEASE 1971 SHVL 795
MATRIX NOS: A-7 HTM; B-5 GAO
Storm Thorgerson (Hipgnosis) designed the cover, a close up of a pig's (I think) ear undewater, but he was apparantly unhappy with the final result. The album features the amazing Echoes taking up the whole of side two but it's One Of These Days which, to my mind, steals the show - a tremendously powerful track featuring basses played by both Roger Waters and David Gilmore fed though an Echorec to produce that amazing sound. Having seen them play it live several times they managed more than adequately without the studio techniques and with only one bass guitar.
SLEEVE: excellent with only a bit of shelf wear.
INNER SLEEVE: excellent plain white original inner.
LABELS: excellent with minimal visible spindle marks.
VINYL: excellent - there are some wispy sleeve removal lines on the vinyl but nothing to adversely affect the sound quality.
POSTAGE BY RECORDED DELIVERY & PACKAGED IN PROFESSIONAL RECORD MAILERS WITH STIFFENERS.
On a personal note, I am British and having relocated to Greece I'm forced, reluctantly, to part with my vast record collection in order to finance our charity for stray animals (we feed and provide medicine to over sixty animals every day and need to raise money to keep going). Virtually all albums are UK issues, from the sixties onwards and many are genuine first pressings. Keep an eye out over the next few months as I'll be posting some great albums for sale.
