VINYL : G+ : Most importantly, the vinyl retains a nice quality sound if you are willing to live with the familiar crackle of vinyl joining the band as a fifth member. I've enjoyed this album many times and it has a lot of life left in it. That said, the surface of the record is covered with paper scuffs and minor hairline surface scratches. I couldn't find any deep scratches that would cause a loud pop, click, or the needle to skip, however. There is some amount of surface crackle audible but most of the time it is buried far in the background of the music and not very noticeable.
COVER : VG : The gatefold jacket has some white spots from shelf wear and rubbing against other album covers. Some ring wear, mostly visible on the back of the jacket. A few spots of the seams have been reinforced with clear, invisible tape to prevent splitting and fraying. The inside of the jacket has some brown spots in the bottom right corner. Overall, it's a sturdy, functional jacket that is in good shape considering it is 45 years old.
Records are graded visually and also by test playing a portion of each track to listen for sound quality.
