Description
A great opportunity to buy a RARE 1st Pressing VINYL LP from the 1970's by Pink Floyd called "Obscured By Clouds".
This is a U.K. pressing released in June 1972 on the Harvest label (SHSP 4020)(stereo) and has 10 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:- SHSP 4020 A-1 (side one)(see photo) and SHSP 4020 B-1 (side two).
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are several light surface marks evident, but nothing at all serious. I have played the whole of both sides and they play fine and sound great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing, stickers or major defects. There are hardly any noticeable spindle marks on the labels when tilted towards the light.
The record is flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within the company's LP advertising inner sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition considering its age.
The Garrod & Lofthouse textured round-cornered picture cover is in a nice EXCELLENT condition. The edges, corners and spine are still reasonably strong, with some minor shelf wear on parts of the spine and corners (see photo). The printing on the spine is clearly readable (see photos).
This is a nice example of a highly collectable 1970's Pink Floyd LP and should be of interest to avid collectors.
