This is a Pink Floyd high quality "special" from 1971 that I purchased from the original Virgin Records (above the shoe shop) in Oxford Street, London.
Produced in the Netherlands, the tracks were recorded at the Konserthuset, Gothenburg, Sweden 11/11/70

The vinyl is thicker and heavier than usual and in fantastic condition. It shows a high gloss surface with almost no surface scratches or surface marks. Audio is incredible throughout with very little surface noise and very few static-type “pops and crackles” and certainly no scratches, jumps or skips! This is very good quality considering the type of record! I have owned this record from new and it has been stored in the dark for the last 30+ years. The vinyl is perfectly flat with plain white labels. There is no spindle wear or spider marks.
I have played this classic Floyd SPECIAL only a few times.
Cover Nr Mint
The sleeve, made from a single piece of folded thin card, is in simply amazing condition with no marks or creases. Mega rare VOL. II red sticker version.
Essentially the sleeve is as it was when purchased 37 years ago, having been stored in plastic sleeve in the dark and untouched for 30+ years. The original white paper un-lined inner sleeve is in perfect condition with no marks or creases and no foxing or yellowing.
Overall a fantastic piece of Floyd history in simply awesome condition. I bought these SPECIAL albums as part of a Floyd collection and never really listened to them more than two or three times - back then it was not so hard to see them live!
This particular copy is particularly collectable as it has the VOL.II red sticker. The sleeve is standard for volume II with the correct tracks and the right record number, however, someone doing the typesetting must have forgotten to change I to II therefore the sticker was needed for the first batch produced. This red sticker sleeve is incredibly rare!
