Description
PINK FLOYD
PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN
Original Mono UK Vinyl LP
This is the early 2nd pressing from 1967, with the blue/black Columbia labels, and the "File under Popular" in top right corner of flipback sleeve. The rear sleeve is the darker grey colour, which only 1st and early 2nd pressings have.
It has the original, correct EMI advertising inner sleeve, featuring Revolver, by The Beatles, Roger The Engineer by The Yardbirds, and Mann Made Hits by Manfred Mann, among others.
This is an iconic, groundbreaking Psychedelic album, the only Pink Floyd LP which features Syd Barrett throughout.
Year of release - 1967
Made in UK
Columbia Records - Mono SX 6157 (blue/black labels)
Matrix codes:
Side 1: XAX 3419-2, and 1 at 8 o'clock; the letter L is at 9 o'clock
Side 2: XAX 3420-1, and 1 at 10 o'clock, with GT at 3 o'clock
Condition:
Vinyl/Labels : VG
Quite a few light hairlines visible, mainly under a harsh light. I have listened to the LP in its entirety and it plays well, with only occasional light background, no serious issues, the music powerful and clear.
Laminated Flipback Sleeve/original EMI Company Inner : VG+/Ex
Moderate, non-excessive storage/handling wear only. All text, graphics and colours sharp and strong. The inner is fine - no real faults to mention.
Important Information:
Postage & Packaging
Records are packaged safely using strong stiff cardboard and extra bubble wrap to ensure they arrive in the same condition as in my description. I also remove record from outer sleeve and original inner sleeves, to prevent seam splits. I am a record collector myself and understand the importance of safe packaging to ensure safe delivery.
:Please note:
Postage prices will be greatly reduced if buying more than one record. In fact, if UK buyers buy three LPs, the postage is the same price as for posting one LP. Overseas buyers can also expect a much reduced rate when combining postage.
Please be aware however, I need a steady cash flow to keep my ebay site stocked with goodies, so if there is a big time gap between records that you wish to buy from me, I would appreciate you pay for the first purchase(s) and let me know if you are planning on bidding on more, at a later date. Then I can invoice you with the reduced/combined postage costs, once you have finished bidding.
Good luck and happy bidding!
Prompt payment is much appreciated. Please pay within 3 days of auction ending.
You are are strongly advised to pay for items to be tracked if the value is over £20.00, and will be given this option when invoiced.
