Pink Floyd-Piper At The Gates Of Dawn LP UK Columbia SCX 6157 Stereo Blue Black letters on the label.Original classic debut LP from The Floyd.This was the Syd Barrett inspired first incarnation of Pink Floyd with very strong backing from Rick Wrights great keyboard influences-thats not to forget Roger Waters' and Nick Mason's strong backbone.A great group in the making though its architect here was not to last even one more whole LP and the band had to go in a slightly different direction-but at least an interesting experimental one!
The condition is overall in the middle range-VG both cover and disc.
The cover(File Under POPULAR)is free of any tears or writing etc.The front has a no. of creases in the laminate mainly along and toward the right hand side edge-the back also has a few,again mainly along the same side/edge, but is pretty good and the spine is fine-overall the cover retains a good strong feel and grades at VG.
The disc has some underlying marks but nothing bad enough to seriously affect the souind.Labels are excellent and again I would grade at VG.Thus the album grades at VG/VG(RCollector grading as a basis).
Not one for the collector who is after a perfect copy-but nor is it a beat up copy by any means!But for anyone who wants a reasonable stereo original pressing of this great album here it is.
