Description
Welcome to my Auction You are bidding on the 1st mono pressing of Pink Floyd's 'Piper At The Gates Of Dawn'. Label:Columbia SX 6157 Matrix numbers: XAX 3419-2 M 1 / XAX 3420-1 G 1 As you can see from the pictures, the vinyl itself is in excellent condition. You can make out small microlines and surface marks when you hold it under a bright light but it plays without any skips or jumps and only the occasional crackle. There are discernable spindlemarks on the labels, but to be honest they're barely noticeable.
The laminated cover does have several creases and shows evidence of the beginnings of ringwear. The corners and the mouth of the sleeve are somewhat frayed, but the spine is strong, just one or two marks, and bears the legend, 'The Pink Floyd'.
The rear flipback cover is unlaminated and is made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London. Somebody has signed their name in biro just above the sleeve credits but it's not too overt. A nice copy. This record is ex second hand record stock and has lain, unplayed, in a loft for 10 years.
