Description
On offer here is the reissue release of the very rare Italian release of The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn that was actually released in Italy in 1971. This cover is unique as for some reason some reason Columbia-EMI decided not to use the well-known Vic Singh 'prism lens' photo for the front cover, choosing instead to portray the band members standing in front of one of the huge glasshouses at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, London. All the more bizarre as David Gilmour is "centre stage" on the front cover and he joined the band after "Piper" was first released in the UK in 1967! This is a recent reissue of that very rare LP and is in near mint condition as I have owned it since new and is unplayed. A great collectors' item of Pink Floyd history.
