Description
Pink Floyd's debut LP Piper At The Gates Of Dawn UK Columbia Mono SX 6157.Largely the work of and inspired by then leader Syd Barrett this is a cracker of an Lp and one that had a great effect on music at the time.(Tracks like Interstellar Overdrive-15 minutes stretching to 25 live- and all instrumental were revolutionary at the time) This original mono pressing is much sought after as the mixes on several songs are noticeably different to the better known and more available stereo version.
The disc still retains that lustre of a very clean record.There are a couple of main marks and a few minor hardly visible ones-the disc still looks really good and the 2 marks one can see have no effect on the sound at all.Labels look strong and sharp-minor spindle wear and the name Cindy is small and just about discernible on both labels.
The cover is still looking really good-a few laminate bend marks on the front cover and the name Cindy on the rear cover top LHC.Otherwise totally clean and still got the strong stiff feel of a good condition cover.
Overall grades at VG++/EX-.
