NEAR MINT w/SHRINK!
Pink Floyd’s Mega Rare “NEAR MINT” 1967, USA, TOWER “MONO” Pressing of Piper at the Gates of Dawn” T-5093. An Absolutely Stunning Example of this Very Rare pressing featuring their FIRST HIT in the USA “See Emily Play!”. Complete with a PRISTINE and STILL in the SHRINK cover! A Rare LP and even more so in this condition! In Pristine “NEAR MINT” condition throughout!
I have recently, and very reluctantly, decided to sell some of the “KEEPER COPIES” from my vinyl collection; mostly comprised of Pink Floyd pressings. I’m a serious collector and all of my records have been hand picked by me over the years. I have only ever chosen records that exhibited the finest of quality and rarity for my own collection.
I am welcoming you to bid on a simply stunning “NEAR MINT” USA, Tower, “MONO” pressing of The Pink Floyd classic “Piper at the Gates of Dawn” catalog #T-5093 (I am being very, very conservative with my grading of this LP) It’s an LP that is simply impossible to find today in this kind of condition let alone in MONO! (SEE PICS).
It is pressed on a thick & chunky slab of vinyl that looks as though it pressed yesterday and clearly has only had a few very careful plays. I had played it once myself to both grade and record. I check carefully beneath two 150W Halogen lamps and also sunlight when available. It retains all of its like-new, pristine & glass-like playing surfaces. I had a difficult time finding any of the light wispy lines typically caused by the coarse paper inner sleeve (SEE PICS).
BOTH LABELS are in NEAR MINT condition with NO Spindle Marks and proof once again of its careful and infrequent play! (SEE PICS).
The cover is in impeccable condition and it is STILL SHRINK-WRAPPED! The shrink wrap is tight and very close to a 100% except of course for the opening. The cover under the shrink is STILL PRISTINE & WHITE. There is NO CREASING and the corners are practically perfect (SEE PICS).
The inner sleeve is original albeit only a plain White inner sleeve that has yellowed somewhat over the last 43-YEARS!
The sound is what you’d expect from a MONO pressing “DYNAMIC”! Unlike the stereo pressing the sound has much more of a presence and is much tighter, punchier with greater higher frequencies, transients & SLAM!.
Of course the Tower pressing is the only pressing of this LP to contain “SEE EMILY PLAY” and is even rarer due to the fact that it is the ONLY medium you can find the song in MONO!
All records have been placed in a NEW MOFI Rice paper sleeve and then placed in a separate blank cardboard LP sleeve. The cover is then placed in a separate and sealable PVC sleeve. Then the cover, LP and the inner sleeves are placed within a very thick 6-MIL outer sleeve.
This is hugely rare for this album – just try finding another in this condition! Like most of my collection it LOOKS & PLAYS AS NEW! You will never see a better example!!! Don’t miss this one – it’s an exceptional copy from my own Near Mint Keepers collection and I seriously doubt you’ll ever find better!
Please email any questions you may have. I use professional LP shipping cartons and fillers that protect all corners. I will ship Worldwide. Shipping to be determined. Thank you kindly for looking.
