Description
You are looking at an EXTREMELY RARE LP of
Pink Floyd's first album, "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn".
This is a 1967 UK MONO 1st pressing. These LPs are very difficult to find, especially on the Blue/Black Columbia label, with "SOLD IN THE UK" text, a 1st press inner sleeve, a "KT" tax code and a 1st press "E.J.DAY" flipback sleeve. Need proof? The proof is in the catalog number and complete Matrix information on each side of the LP, INCLUDING THE VERY EARLY STAMPER LETTERS!!! (1/R & 1/M)

The LP plays through with no jumps or sticks, but isn't visually perfect. The record labels are in great condition with a name written in one Columbia logo on side side 2. There are a few light spindle marks on each side. The vinyl has no deep scratches and has numerous light hairlines and a few light scufflines on both sides. There are 2 obvious marks in the runoff groove, which you can see in the pictures. This does not affect play at all since they are not on the playing surface. There are a few clicks and pops when played, which is to be expected for an LP that is 45 years old. I have to grade the record as visually Fair. The laminated cover does have some creases, which can be seen in the picture. There is some corner wear. The opening edge is straight with no feathering. The unlaminated back does have some staining on the top right corner, which can be seen in the picture. There is also some writing on the back cover, which also can be seen in the picture. I would grade the back cover as Good+ and the front Very Good.
