This is a near impossible to find MINT- condition true second pressing from 1969,the vinyl and sleeve really are in absolutely stunning near new condition,it actually looks as though the record was just pressed and that the sleeve was just freshly printed but this is the true second pressing that is now incredibly 37 years old.

180G VINYL= MINT-

1-GA & 1-GA CODES IN RUN OFFS IS THE TRUE SIGN THAT THIS IS THE ORIGINAL VERY RARE 1969 PRESSING.

The vinyl is the very nice original superior sounding 180 gram variety and it is in visually MINT- condition,both sides are very clean and shiny indeed and there are no bad marks/scuffs or scratches at all and the album plays and sounds superb throughout,i have played it right through twice for grading purposes and it looks and plays as a new record would with perfect audio sound quality from start to finish,there is no annoying hiss,crackle or pops at all,the speaker to speaker phasing effects on ''Interstellar Overdrive'' sounds as incredible today as it did back in 1967.both sides of the vinyl are in so close to new condition that it will be very near impossible to upgrade.

Both labels are perfect as there is not even 1 visible spindle trace on either side,as i have stated i gave this album 2 very careful complete plays and it may be possible that i was the first person to actually play this album as there are still no visible spindle traces after my 2 careful play-tests.

ERNEST.J.DAY CO TRI FLIPBACK SLEEVE = MINT

6709 TPS PRINTED AND MADE BY ERNEST .J.DAY CO LTD LONDON TRI FLIPBACK SLEEVE WITH FILE UNDER POPULAR:POP GROUPS IN THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER.

The single front laminated Ernest J.Day & Co tri-flipback sleeve is also in a stunning immaculate MINT condition and completely free of ring,edge and spine wear,it actually looks and feels brand new.

It has a perfectly clean and flat unblemished front lamination that looks really fresh and bright,all of the covers edges are perfect and crisp and free of any wear at all,even the sleeves opening edge is in near perfect condition as the record has only ever been removed from the cover a couple of times in 37 years,the spine is also free of wear/creases or cracks and again is in faultless straight and strong condition.

Being a true 2nd pressing this sleeve has the original grey matt back,this grey back was used for the original 1967 BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA 1st pressings and for the true 2nd pressings only as later issues were printed by Garrod & Lofthouse with the white matt background,the grey back to this sleeve is in blemish free clean and tidy flat condition,all 3 flipbacks are still snow white and in perfect very strong condition,there are no lamination lines or cracks at all and they are free of any wear and look in superb new condition,

EMI ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE

The album comes with it's original EMI ADVERTISING inner sleeve,at present i have the record stored in a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve to prevent marks caused by removing the vinyl from the older coarser paper inners,both inners will be sent with the album to the winning bidder.

All in all a real stunning near perfect 1969 copy of one of the most essential worldwide psychedelic rock albums ever to be released on vinyl.

It may be some time before another copy like this one surfaces for sale.
