Description
PINK FLOYD The piper at the gates of dawn, original STEREO released album on the Blue/silver/black label. Released in 1967 on the EMI record label, catalogue number SCX 6157 (MATRIX numbers are A-side YAX 3419-1 and B-side YAX 3420-1. The sleeve is the original flip over edge type (see pictures), with grey back colouring. Sleeve has an excellent appearance, some minor faults include, some SURFACE ONLY laminate creasing in places (mainly along the spine and outer edges), bottom corners have rubs, and there is a small sleeve edge split along the bottom right hand side, from the corner (approx 8mms). Some slight surface and edge wear on the record insert edge side on the back cover. There is slight curved surface crease on the back sleeve in the middle near the record insert edge, and some small surface indents. All the sleeve laminate is intact, and still retains its glossy feature. Sleeve is clean (slight surface handling wear on parts of the back sleeve), solid and complete with no bad rips, no bad tears, no missing pieces, and without any sleeve creases that go right through the sleeve. Record comes with the original EMI inner sleeve (a little faded, but otherwise excellent). Record labels are excellent, some moderate spindle hole marks, but no spindle hole wear. Record playing surfaces still retain an original excellent bright sheen. There are two feather light noticeable surface scuff marks (one on each side), and a few very light small fine line/hairline surface scuff marks, but nothing heavy, and absolutely nothing that you can feel. The record has been play graded and plays mostly excellent on both sides, you will hear the occasional faint light background crackle and click in places when played, however there are no bad crackles, no bad clicks, no surface noise and no jumps.
