Description

Up for auction is a Japanese pressing of A Saucerful Of Secrets by Pink Floyd, cat no OP 80282. There’s no release date anywhere on this copy, but I think it’s a first pressing, as the manufacturing credit reads Toshiba, rather than Toshiba/EMI. Either way, it’s pressed on red vinyl, and comes complete with the lyric insert. I’m afraid the obi is a repro, but that’s better than nothing...

Condition: a few non-feelable scratches on either side, and one slightly more serious mark on side 1, but everything plays through with only minor clicks; no sticks, jumps etc. There are a few spindle marks on the label;, but no writing or stickers. Cover has a little edge wear and a corner “ding” or two, but again, nothing serious. Insert is fine apart from a (very) little mould, a common problem with 60s Japanese pressings, it seems. All round VG+/VG (cover/vinyl). A very rare LP indeed.

My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor), following Record Collector’s grading guidelines, with an extra + or – here & there to separate the wheat from the chaff. I never use mint as a grade for used records. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.

Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £3 (1st class UK), £6 (Europe) £7.50 (rest of world-airmail). Recorded delivery is an additional £1 (UK), £4 (ROW). Check my other auctions; combine orders & save on shipping costs!
