UK 1st PRESS MONO BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA.
SX 6258(1-M & 1-R)
A excellent super-rare original UK copy of PINK FLOYD'S superb 1968 second album, This issue is the very desirable early original UK MONO pressing with the BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA labels.
The original MONO sleeve is in a very nice EX+ condition and the original thick vinyl looks near excellent and plays near excellent.

G&L 1968 MONO SLEEVE EX+
The original G&L front laminated MONO flip-back sleeve is in a really superb very clean and flat EX+ condition, there are just a few tiny lamination cracks along the front/spine otherwise this sleeve really is in near perfect condition and free of wear, the pictures do not really show how great this sleeve is as glare along the flipbacks make it look a little untidy when in fact it is really excellent and looks superb when in hand, most of these original 'Saucerful' sleeves suffer from pretty bad ring-wear on the matt black rear section but this original MONO sleeve has none at all and just looks brilliant.
ORIGINAL BLUE/BLACK LABEL MONO VINYL VG
The vinyl is mainly clean with just a few mild wispy marks and many tiny hairlines and just a couple of mild scratches, the album plays with some light background noise in places and around a dozen tics caused by a odd fuzzy looking scuff mark near the end of the track ''Set the controls for the heart of the sun'', most of these tics are very faint and it's just a couple that really stand out, there are a few other tics when played but apart from this the album plays and sounds great, this is a very respectable original UK MONO copy of PINK FLOYD'S brilliant second psychedelic rock album.
EMI Inner Sleeve EX
The EMI Advertising inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no rips/splits/writing or any other defects, i have visited the pink floyd archives UK album discographies page and according to the site UK first press MONO issues actually came with a black & white advertising inner sleeve so perhaps this one has been changed over at some point.
A nice original UK MONO copy that still plays and sounds great.
