UK 1968 1st PRESS BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA Stereo SCX 6258.

A excellent+ clean and glossy condition original UK Stereo 1st pressing that plays superb, this album has not had too many plays at all and the sound quality is brilliant and clear with the absolute minimal amount of light surface noise which is actually almost none at all apart from some light crackle/tics at the very quiet intro of the title track, a really brilliant looking/playing/sounding copy that will not disappoint.

Vinyl = EX+

Both sides are very clean and glossy and free of any nasty marks or scratches, there are just a few extremely light wispy lines and a tiny scuff (just a couple of millimetres) on the ''track Let There Be More Light'' , this minute scuff does not affect play at all, there are also some ultra-thin hairlines that are hardly even worth mentioning and are mainly only visible when the vinyl is tilted towards bright light, these extremely fine lines were caused by the record being removed from the original paper inner sleeve and obviously do not affect play at all and are not unsightly, both sides really do look/play and sound very near new, this original Stereo vinyl grades excellent+ condition and the Stereo sound quality is brilliantly clear and crisp as this album has only ever had a handful of plays in almost 40 years.

Blue/Black STEREO LABELS = NM

Both Blue/Black STEREO COLUMBIA labels are in near mint condition and the spindle holes on both sides are still razor sharp and free of any wear at all and only display a couple (1 or 2) light spindle traces around each hole, this is a sure sign that this brilliant original PINK FLOYD album has not had too many plays at all and has been very well looked after.

Garrod & Lofthouse Tri-Flipback sleeve. EX+

The Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated tri-flipback sleeve grades a superb excellent condition, the front lamination is still very clean and glossy and reflective and looks great, all edges including the opening and the spine are excellent and are still strong and straight and free of wear, the flipbacks are also strong with nice straight edges, there are just a couple of tiny lamination shifts on them but they still look superb and near new, the matt black rear section is amazingly free of unsightly storage/ring wear which nearly all original copies seem to suffer from.

Original EMI Advertising inner = EX

The EMI advertising inner sleeve is the original when bought new in 1968, this inner sleeve is in excellent very clean and tidy condition apart from just three very small yellow tape marks to each side at the top, there are no seem splits/writing or any other defects apart from the tape marks, the vinyl has been stored in a poly-lined inner sleeve for many years for extra protection as the original 1960's paper inners were quite coarse and can produce the ultra-fine hairlines mentioned in the vinyl description, both the poly-lined inner and the original EMI advertising inner sleeves will be sent to the winner bidder.

Whoever wins this excellent original UK Stereo copy of PINK FLOYD'S amazing second psych/rock album will definately not be disappointed, i play my records through a few times to double check for any faults and any found will be mentioned in my description, all photographs in my auctions are always of the actual item for sale and i try to show both vinyl & sleeve from all sides so you know what to expect when the item arrives.
