PINK FLOYD, ‘THE DIVISION BELL’, AN ORIGINAL 1994 UK EMI RECORD LABEL LP .
The Division Bell is the fourteenth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd. It was released in the UK by EMI Records on 28th March 1994, and the US by Columbia Records on 4th April. The music was written mostly by David Gilmour and Richard Wright; lyrically, the album deals with themes of communication. Recording took place in several locations, including the band's Britannia Row Studios, and Gilmour's houseboat, Astoria. The production team included Pink Floyd stalwarts such as producer Bob Ezrin, engineer Andy Jackson and saxophonist Dick Parry. Gilmour's new wife, Polly Samson, co-wrote many of the album's lyrics, and Wright performed his first lead vocal on a Pink Floyd album since 1973's The Dark Side of the Moon. The album reached number one in the UK and the US, but received mixed reviews. Its release was followed immediately by a tour of the US and Europe. The Division Bell was certified Gold, Platinum and Double Platinum in the US in 1994, and triple platinum in 1999.
Both record labels are in beautiful Mint Minus condition, super clean record labels with signs of just a couple of plays on each label.
The album plays without faults through all the Tracks.
The machine stampers, side1, 8289841 A-1-1, side2, 8289841 B-2-1-1.
Both sides of the Beautiful vinyl disc are in outstanding Mint Minus condition, super clean glossy well cared for vinyl surfaces with no marks.
The LP comes in it’s original card lyric inner sleeve which is in Mint Minus condition.
And is housed in it’s original Gatefold Picture Sleeve, the sleeve is in superb Near Mint condition. This sleeve is undamaged showing only mild signs of record storage. All edges, the spine edge and the reverse of the sleeve are perfect
