Description

THE FINAL CUT A-1U / B-4U (very early pressing)
This A1/B4 pressing is in immaculate condition and plays superbly well for 33 years old.  These pressings were manufactured around the same time as the A1/B2 ones so are commonly thought of as first pressings also.  Also included is the original polylined black inner sleeve.
Visual grading
Under bright sunlight there are a few very faint hairlines that no doubt have only been caused by sleeve removal.  The vinyl is wonderfully clean and has no scratches at all and no spindle wear either suggesting it has been barely played, if at all.  It also retains that lovely glossy sheen you have with new vinyl.
Play grading
'The Post War Dream' plays with astounding audio.  This LP has obviously been barely played such is the amazing quality.  There are many quiet sections across this side and yet there is almost zero static throughout.  The audio is of Mint standard though will grade it as Mint- and I don't say that often.  With complete silence between tracks also it is very rare to find a vinyl of this age in such marvellous unplayed condition.
Side Two again begins with no lead in static at all, impeccable sound.  The whole side again has stunning audio with only a handful of very light static sounds.  This is quality vinyl of the highest standard and would impress the most avid of fans.  It is incredible to think the LP plays without any clicks when you consider its age and how quiet many of the tracks are.  This is one of the best versions of this LP I have ever heard and has astonishing depth and and clarity.
Gatefold cover
The gatefold is in excellent condition with only minimal shelf wear.  The edges are extremely clean accept for very minor rubbing over a couple of small areas.  The wide spine is in excellent shape as is the opening edge and the inside of the gatefold looks as new.  There are a couple of fade type marks on the front cover but many sellers would not even mention this.  You have to look closely to see them though!  As can be seen it retains the original sticker on the front cover.
Labels
Practically as new I cannot see any signs of spindle wear.
