PINK FLOYD
THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN
COLUMBIA/EMI STEREO LP 1967
SCX 6157 MATRIX: YAX 3419/20-2
This is probably a 2nd pressing of Pink Floyd's first album which features Syd Barrett at his mercurial best. The label shows the boxed Columbia logo in white below the EMI logo in black (see photo) The earlier type is a blue unboxed Columbia.
The record is in Excellent condition showing only a few signs of hairlines and scuffing. No deeper marks or scratches. The record plays and sounds fine.
The record sleeve printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse is also in excellent condition - very clean - just a sign of a previous sticker in the upper RH corner and with the odd crease at the front edge and at the LH lower front.. No rips or tears. The inner sleeve is plain white, non-poly lined with a previous price tag in the RH upper (we should be so lucky, lucky, lucky!)
This is an excellent example of The Floyd's first album - in Stereo even though EMI can't quite make up their mind on the rear sleeve.
