Visual grading is carried out with care (see note below) and we tend to grade on the conservative side in order to under-promise and over-deliver. We are happy to answer any additional questions you may have. We do not play-grade though, due to time limitations.

The winning bidder has the option to have this record professionally cleaned before shipment on a LORICRAFT PRC3 record cleaning machine with state-of-the-art L'Art du Son cleaning liquid. Cleaned records are placed in a new inner sleeve (you don't put clean feet in dirty socks). Rare original 1967 first pressing with triple-flipback sleeve printed by Ernest J. Day & Co, London in excellent condition. Original till receipt from the Soho Record Centre in London dated 15th September 1967 is included, how cool is that !!! The record was released in the UK on 5th August 1967 so this was purchased within 6 weeks of the release date. The record has first pressing matrices XAX3419-2 and XAX3420-1 with mother stampers 1H and 1L. See note below on stampers.

E. M. I record labels (stateside, Parlophone, Tamala, Island, Chrysalis, Columbia, Stax, Liberty, United Artists and bell included) use the following coding: G R A M O P H L T D (GRAMOPHONE LTD) where G=1, R=2, A=3, M=4, O=5, P=6, H=7, L=8, T=9 and D=0. (These are printed on the runoff ~ if the matrix no. Is 6 o'clock, these are 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock) therefore, many times you will see more than one letter etched in the dead wax in the stamper location (3 o'clock). For example, if "mm" is etched, it means the record was pressed with the 44th stamper. The very first pressing run of any record (distributed by labels under E.M.I) would be denoted with the codes 1/G 1/ G (side 1 and side 2), where the "1" represents the first mother (9 o'clock) and the "G" denotes the first stamper (3 o'clock) generally only demos, factory samples and the first couple of hundred records will have this code.

Please note the photos shown are of the ACTUAL record you are bidding for, we do not use library / catalogue images. All records are posted in strong custom cardboard mailers for safe transit. Records are inspected under strong direct light and graded visually only.

Note for UK bidders : Records sold for more than £41 will need to be sent by Special Delivery @ £6.25 rather than Second Class Recorded. 

Note for International bidders : A signature on delivery and insurance (mandatory due to PayPal rules) costs £4.95 GBP and is included in the postage price quoted for this record but if you win several records, you only have to pay this fee once. 

RECORD GRADING :

Please note we grade records VISUALLY ONLY, we sadly do not have time to play-grade records. Records are carefully inspected on both sides under strong light. This will normally pick up most defects but not all of them as visual inspection is clearly not as thorough as play-grading and some minor audible defects may go undetected. The following criteria are used to describe the condition of the record :

• MINT : We never describe a record as mint, no matter how good it looks, unless it is sealed and guaranteed unplayed. Covers may be descibed as mint if there are no blemishes of any kind. 
• EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of having been played, but no scratches or other significant blemishes can be detected with the naked eye under strong light. We would expect there to be very little lessening in sound quality. The cover may have very small defects but no tears, rips or significant wear to the edges, and no writing or non-original stickers on them.
• VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played but we would expect no major deterioration in sound quality, despite a few noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. There is normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items but no major defects such as tears, rips or excessive writing.
• GOOD : The record has been played so much that the sound quality may have noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and several scratches. The cover and contents suffer from either creases, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. or perhaps even several of these.
• FAIR : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and probably displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. There may be many scratches and blemishes. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced in some way.
• POOR/BAD : We do not sell records in this condition.
