On offer another RARITY by Pink Floyd, the LP titled “THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN” and this is an early 2nd Pressing from 1969 on the RARE black Columbia label with ONE EMI BOX! The first press with the Blue Columbia label from 1967 sold in minuscule cuantities and in 1969 the band was gaining popularity so the record company decided to release the second press utilising MISSPRINT flip covers from Garrod Lofthouse with the file under popular and a black label with one EMI box.
 

THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND REALLY HARD TO FIND WITH THE MISSPRINT PARTICULARLY IN EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION SO DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A PIECE OF ROCK HISTORY! 

THIS ISSUE IS CHARACTERISIED BY THE BLACK COLUMBIA LABEL WITH ONE SILVER TEXT, WHITE EMI LOGO IN SMALL RECTANGLE AT THE BOTTOM AND WHITE “COLUMBIA” IN LARGE RECTANGLE "BUT NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP HAS RARE 1-1 MATRIX". THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK STEREO ON THE RARE “MADE IN GT BRITAIN” COLUMBIA LABELS AND “GARROD & LOFTHOUSE” MISSPRINT TRIPLE FLIPBACK COVER! 

The vinyl is visually graded in excellent plus condition. Please see below a description of grades and note that this vinyl is 50 years old that has been played and will not transform into anything different to the condition stated.

The record also comes with the “Garrod & Lofthouse” laminated cover. The front cover is in excellent condition  very shiny laminate, just some creases and corner and edge wear. The back sleeve with the missprint already mentioned and the "file under popular" in the top right corner. It is missing part of the trifold in the bottom and the intitials CD in biro. 

The spine is fully legible with corner wear and a bump.

The record labels are in excellent plus condition and have the Black Columbia label with silver text and the single white EMI logo in small rectangle at the bottom.

Visually-graded vinyl: A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly. A visual grading will not identify noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and sixty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect.

Mint                      
Cover - Looks new - no marks, wear or damage
Disc - Looks unplayed - no marks visible
 
Near Mint              
Cover - Looks virtually new with signs of handling- Minor wear creases but no marks or damage. Light sleeves may show slight discoloration due to age.
Disc - May have minor scuffs &/or hairline scratches caused by moving record in & out of paper sleeve
 
Excellent                
Cover - Slight signs of wear on edges/spine, corners or ring wear. No damage caused by sticker removal/residue.
Disc- The record has been played and has superficial marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.
 
Very good              
Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage.
Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticeable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs.
 
Good                      
Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.
Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches. Usually used as collection filler
