Very Nice Clean Copy
This is a great vinyl copy of Pink Floyd's first album, recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 1967 (while Sgt. Peppers was being recorded down the hall). This is one of the TOP psychedelic albums ever made, a rock masterpiece of bizarre and childlike fantasy. This is Syd Barrett’s best recording and one of the most creative albums of the later 60s.
Condition:
THE COVER: The front cover is beautiful with no ring wear and great color. The back has some ring wear (see the photo) and two small initials. The entire cover is overall very clean and has no splitting at all. The spine is excellent.
THE VINYL: has a few light marks---visible only in bright light. Very clean and shiny. The labels look unused, no spindle wear. It plays great on my Thorens turntable, with some occasional background noise. (I am an original 60s Pink Floyd fan and can tell you these records were never perfectly quiet, even when brand new.) This LP looks basically unplayed, or very well cared for. Bottom Line: This record looks and sounds great, especially when played LOUD. No ticks. As good a copy as you might find. The original plain inner sleeve is discolored from age. I have had the vinyl in a plastic sleeve for several years. The striped labels prove it's a 1969 pressing, 45 years old. (I noticed in 1969 that if you look at one of these labels when it spins, it creates a sort of strange optical illusion--very appropriate. It was, after all, the 60s.)
