“The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn”

PINK FLOYD

Up for an auction is perhaps one of the last factory sealed Mono copies of the 1st Pink Floyd's album The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. Before describing the record, I'd first like to briefly discuss one event, directly related to this copy. This event is the closure of the Rainbo Records pressing plant. On Dec. 12, Rainbo’s longtime general manager Steve Sheldon retrieved the last-ever record to be pressed by Rainbo, ending the 80 year history of this pressing plant, which pressed this copy of Pink Floyd The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. It's important to know that the Mono copies of this album were pressed only at Rainbo Records, which Capitol Records, a parent company of Tower, used as their back-up plant to press this album. Original very early 1st pressing Mono copy still in a factory sealed condition. The mono mixes of the songs were done at a different time and are different than the stereo mixes. Tower Records altered the songs on the album from the original British release to include their single "See Emily Play", and dropped the songs "Astronomy Domine", "Flaming and Bike" from the records. In addition to this, the songs "Pow R. Toc H., and "Take Up Thy Stetoscope and Walk" are misspelled. The cardboard cover contains a Kaleidoscope picture of the band on the front with the catalog number T-5093 above the large "t" Tower Records logo and "Pink Floyd" banner at the center bottom. The catalog number is also present on the spine. A K-Mart department store yellow sticker is affixed to the shrink wrap at the top right corner of the front cover. The back cover, displaying a drawing of Syd Barrett, contains a "6" number at the bottom right corner, identifying this copy as a very early 1st Mono issue, pressed in Los Angeles, at the Rainbo Records pressing plant. The bottom left corner of the back cover contains a round “Printed in U.S.A.” stamp. 100% guaranteed that this copy contains the original 1st print Tower Records T-5093 Mono catalog number orange labels with a large “t” Tower Records logo and Mfd. in USA labels along with the word MONO and the catalog number are in a bold type size. Incredibly rare impossible to find this copy in such an impeccable factory sealed condition. There has been no information about the sale of a similar copy in the past years. Ultimate final upgrade copy for any collection.

COVER -  MINT (FACTORY SEALED)
POLICY:

Realizing how important it is to secure the safety of the item you've paid your money for, I'll put my best effort into packing the records as best as possible, triple boxing them into the specialized professional boxes, with the two outer boxes having a special construction with extended cardboard on the edges to prevent the record covers' corners from getting damaged during the transit, and will also put the vinyl outside of the cover (of course, unless it's a sealed record) to prevent the splitting. I always try responding to the messages, but please, before sending me a message, make sure that the answer to your question isn't included in the description. I'll use my right to block a buyer, who doesn't correspond to my idea of politeness, culture and respect toward each other. If you want to participate in my auction, please be honest and positive, and I'll be mutual with you. I'll remove the bids of a buyer with zero rating, unless he contacts me prior to placing a bid. Unfortunately, I don't ship to Germany or Russia. I apologize to the buyers from these countries in advance.
