Description
"Why Buy Mine"? Most sellers grade their product visually, but when it comes to sound, all that really tells you is that it "looks like" it should play good (or fair, or poor). I am in the process of converting my record collection to digital files. So when I review the digital file for tics, pops or skips in order to then remove those flaws, I am reviewing the record for visual flaws and I am also reviewing for sonic flaws. Will I find and note every defect? No. However, I believe I will find all skips and pops (they are very easy to spot on a digital file) and I will find enough tics (if present) to make a much more realistic rating. I will also use standard Gold Mine rating values. If you feel that I have erred in an evaluation, please contact me so we can work out a solution.
This Tower U.S. release has a lot going for it, but make sure to read the "Vinyl" section below. This is a second release copy featuring the striped label. Pressing was done at the Capitol records number 9 plant.
Jacket: VG+ The jacket shows some ring wear on the back, but very little on the front. There are no bends, separations or cutout holes. There is a hairline scratch on the bottom front that is visible almost from edge to edge. No flaking or scuffing except for the tiniest amount on the top and bottom left corners. The original sleeve has been replaced with a poly sleeve.
Vinyl: NR Side 1, Track 1 "See Emily Play" during the first minute has 3 lite tics. In the following 45 seconds there are 2 groups of pops - the first group has 7 pops and the second group has 4 pops. After that, the only flaws noted on the remaining 8 tracks are a few scattered lite tics.
I have a diverse catalog of personal records that I am selling and try to add new ones every week. Please take a look at the "See other Items" prompt at the top right corner of this page for my other current auctions.
