PINK FLOYD - THE WALL 1979 PROMO Stamp Hype Timing Strip RARE DEMO Label NM- 2LP
Please note: This is a brand new account because I have been commissioned to sell a large collection of records that once belonged a DJ in Santa Barbara, CA (more about him below) and the collection belongs to DodgerBob. The lack of feedback is due to this, but I have been selling for years under my account which is: nowhere.man where I have a 100% positive feedback score with 326 transactions and tons of great seller reviews. If you have any questions or concerns, you may look up my other account at nowhere.man and read through them and/or message me there until we build the same customer satisfaction as I have done there.
There are many, many incredible promotional copies mainly from the late 60’s through the 70’s being listed now and for some time to come...please follow us and check out our other listings- we of course offer combined shipping on multiple purchases...we will simply add $1 USD per additional album.

Thank you!! :)
WOW!! For sale is an incredibly stunning rare 1979 promo copy of Pink Floyd’s brilliant concept album The Wall...complete with original hype sticker, timing strip, “FOR PROMOTION ONLY Ownership Reserved By CBS Sale Is Unlawful” gold stamp on the rear and incredibly rare “Demonstration Only Not For Sale” label on Side 3!! These promotional copies were mostly issued with the standard labels but some labels had the Demo text...in my experience these are much, much rarer. This copy is also in stunning NM- condition...nearly perfect with only the smallest of flaws which I will detail below. TOP COPY/ARCHIVE quality.
Matrix/Runouts:
1: etched: S PAL 36184-1A stamped: TML l-X
2: etched: S PBL-36184-1AB stamped: TML-M A8
3: etched: S PAL-36185-1AA stamped: TML-S-B
4: etched: S PBL-36185-1AA stamped: TML-X
Sleeve: NM-
BEAUTIFUL crisp gatefold sleeve...earliest David Gilmour producer credit on the inside, complete with original clear hype sticker and DJ timing strip with gold foil Promo stamp on rear. The timing strip has a small amount of writing that the original owner used as instruction for radio airplay. Incredibly clean overall with only very light wear...sharp corners and opening edges with only a 2” ding to the edges worth mentioning (see photos). From The Collection of Bob Senn has been lightly stamped in upper right hand corner on rear.
Discs: NM-
GORGEOUS discs retain all of their original glossy sheen. Light, wispy sleeve removal traces and superficial “streaks” visible only when tilted under bright light. Absolutely no scratches or scuffing. Discs appear unplayed, or played very lightly and handled extremely carefully.
Labels: NM
PERFECT labels with no signs of play or spindle traces. No unwanted writing or marks. Very rare “Demonstration Only Not For Sale” label on Side 3
Inners: VG+
Beautifully crisp uncreased, fragile original custom lyric inner sleeves would grade NM- with only light signs of age wear, but there are small seam splits in the bottom and one side on each. Generic replacement inner sleeves will be included.

This copy is from the collection of Bob Senn - a renowned Santa Barbara, California DJ and program director for KTMS FM “The Rock on the Coast”. When Mr. Senn passed, his collection was acquired by my friend who has commissioned me to help sell them. There are thousands of records in the collection, almost all promotional copies in mint or close to mint condition.

Grading System:
SS (Still Sealed)
Unopened records, still in original shrink wrap. In original manufactured condition unless otherwise noted (i.e. evidence of mildew or bent corners, etc.)
M (Mint)
The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration. (I will only use this grade on SEALED records that appear to be Mint as I believe any non-new, opened record cannot be truly called MINT.
NM (Near Mint)
A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.
EX (Excellent)
A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.
VG+ (Very Good Plus)
A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.
VG (Very Good)
A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.
G (Good)
A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.
FA (Fair) and P (Poor)
These grades are for beat-up records. I will only sell records in these grades if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
