It features 10 tracks which include well-known singles such as "Money," "Any color You Like," "Time," and "Us and Them." The album was self-produced and recorded in 1973 at the infamous Abby Road Studios in London, featuring a total recording length of 42 minutes and 59 seconds. Each side of the record was meant to be played as a continuous track that reflects the stages of life. The progressive rock band at the time included David Gilmour on vocals, guitar, and synthesizer, Nick Mason on percussion, Roger Waters on bass guitar, vocals, and synthesizer, and Richard Wright on keyboards and vocals. The cover of "The Dark Side of the Moon" displays the easily recognized image of a beam of light being shown through a prism
