Description

  • Pink Floyd released their eighth studio album "The Dark Side Of The Moon" in September 1973 on Harvest Records. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time and has sold over 50 million copies (and counting) and was on the charts for nearly 1,000 weeks. This Roger Waters masterpiece contains the hit singles "Money" and "Us And Them."

  • This copy of (SMAS 11163) is from the First Pressing and is in excellent condition including all four mint condition inserts designed by Hipgnosis (two 20" x 30" color posters, one 4" x 6" color postcard, and one 4" x 6" color sticker). The gatefold cover shows some minor edge wear but is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Wally Traugott at Capitol Records and this copy was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched 2-11163-F-10 .. 5 ? 2.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 48 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
