LABELS: NEAR MINT/MINT
Both labels are clean, fresh and unmarked with just one, possibly two light spindle traces on one side, none on the other
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT
Both vinyl surfaces shine like-new with nothing but a few fine marks/wispy hairlines (from the inner) visible under bright light
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT
As usual the soundscapes Pink Floyd create are incredibly impressive with an astonishing dynamic range from the almost silent ambient detail to the loudest crescendos and all frequencies are bright and clear and the audio is strong, rich and beautifully warm.
My play-check at a volume found just the usual surface/light ticks on the quietest sections but little that rises above background apart for the first 20 seconds or so of the quiet beginning to Side One which is quiet noisy with surface and ticks.
Clocking in at over 30 minutes a side the tightly packed shallow grooves become damaged as soon as you look at them and it would have made more sense to release this as a double LP.
Nonetheless a beautiful, barely played original copy of one of Pink Floyd's rarest albums on vinyl.
Very critically graded as EXCELLENT but in my experience they really do not come much better
SLEEVE: MINT
The wide spine gatefold is as clean, sharp and fresh as the day it left the factory
INNER SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
Like-new with no seam splits, just some light thumbnail creases on the opening edge
