THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL "MILITARY STRIP" GATEFOLD SLEEVE (with its all important title sticker in place!!) AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK POLY LINED INNER (designed for this release), AGAIN, ALL IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION!!!!!

The Final Cut extends the autobiography of The Wall, concentrating on Roger Waters' pain when his father died in World War II (the album is dedicated "for eric fletcher waters 1913-1944")
Waters spins this off into a treatise on the futility of war, concentrating on the Falkland Islands, setting his blistering condemnations and scathing anger to impossibly subdued music that demands full attention.
This is more like a novel than a record, requiring total concentration since shifts in dynamics, orchestration, and instrumentation are used as effect.
The even bent of the arrangements, where the music is used as texture, not music, means that The Final Cut purposely alienates all but the most dedicated listener. Several of those listeners (including yours truly) maintain that this is among Pink Floyd's finest efforts.
That doesn't make this easier to embrace, of course, and it's damn near impenetrable in many respects, but with its anger, emphasis on lyrics, and sonic textures, it's clear that the album is everything Waters intended it to be... AND MUCH MORE!!!

Great use of textural/ambient sounds - bomb explosions, fighter planes, clocks ticking, footsteps, laughing, whispers etc.!!!! The audio is absolutely STUNNING!! - CRYSTAL CLEAR, BEAUTIFULLY RICH and VERY STRONG!!!!! REALLY NICE LOUD CUT!!! There are NO scratches, NO jumps, NO clicks/pops and NO surface noise!!! - truly AWESOME and very, VERY rare for an original pressing of this LP which is notoriously prone to lots of excessive surface noise/clicking. The sound quality here is simply FANTASTIC!!! – TREMENDOUSLY STRONG!!! with NO groove-wear and NO distortion!!!! Must be graded MINT- for audio. AS GOOD AS IT GETS!! Easily the best copy I have ever had on auction!!! NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards!!! TREMENDOUS COPY!!!
SLEEVE: The original stickered cover is in BEAUTIFUL condition!!! (see pics). CLEAN and UNMARKED with very little wear to speak of on either the edges or spine!!! A BEAUTIFUL NEAR MINT SLEEVE!!
