Description
I will be listing quite a large number of rare Pink Floyd albums over the coming days and weeks. Why not add me as a favourite seller and get informed automatically when new items are listed.
For sale here is Pink Floyds 1983 album entitled "The final cut".
The album is in the most fantastic condition with outstanding audio. I have rarely heard a vinyl that plays as quietly as this. It is quite remarkable.
This is the very first UK pressing with A-1U B-2U matrix numbers.
The cover is in extremely good condition. No shelf-wear to edges or spine. Just about perfect really and has the hype sticker attached. Excellent.
The inner sleeve is the original black poly-lined one with no damage, no splits rips or tears and grades as excellent.
The labels show no spindle trails to either side that I can see. I have not played this for at least 30 years, probably 35!
The vinyl visually really is incredibly clean. There are no marks worth noting. This is a gleaming piece of vinyl. Happy to make a visual grading of excellent at least on this one.
Fully play-graded as below.
Referring to my play-grading notebook, I made the following comments.
Super quiet start to side one. As this has not been played for so long, it has picked up some dust over the years. Side one does have the odd isolated "dust pop" (which in my experience usually either cleans out, or plays out). During side one there are 3 soft clicks on track 3. Apart from that, the whole side plays absolutely fantastically. As silent as the day it was pressed. It is not almost silent, it IS silent!
Side two starts in exactly the same vein as side one. Again, the odd isolated dust pop, but no noise, crackle or anything.
This is wonderful audio and simply could not be bettered.
If you are seeking a top top copy, this has to fit the bill.
An audio grading of at the very least excellent is easily merited.
Overall this vinyl easily gets an excellent grading from me.
I am sure the winner will be more than well pleased with it, but I do offer a full return and refund policy if not delighted. This an absolute corker of a copy, and I find it hard to believe there are many better sounding copies still knocking around.
Happy to post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Any bids from those countries will be cancelled. Postage within the UK is free, by Royal Mail 48, so delivered in 2 days. If my quoted price is more than the actual cost once I have that figure, I will refund the difference immediately. I do not and will not profit on postage and packing costs.
I have had to put a cost in for overseas postage, so I have added the price for Euro zone delivery. If you live outside of the EU, the cost would be around £27, so please ask for an invoice for the correct amount after the auction ends. Thankyou. Postage costs within Europe are around £17. Worldwide postage would be around £27. These are insured prices with signed for delivery. The price shown in the listing is for European postage. If buying from outside the EU, please wait for me to invoice you. Thankyou.
More than happy to answer ANY questions or supply more photographs on request.
Good luck if you decide to bid.
