FIRST PRESSINGS: Even the most cursory glance at eBay 'The Wall' listings will show that nobody can agree as to what constitute genuine first pressing matrix numbers, hence I am describing this record as a 'very early pressing'.  As there are pressing plant quality control 'P' (Pass) stickers on each disc, as well as very low matrix numbers and no plastic title sticker (which were rushed out in the following weeks when retailers complained about the blank sleeve), it is clear that this was pressed by EMI before the official release date of 30 November 1979. The original owner stated that he purchased this on the day of release, and I have no reason to doubt him.

This is an original UK first pressing with all the correct vinyl, label and sleeve attributes, i.e. a single sheet wraparound gatefold sleeve, 'Words and music Roger Waters' inner sleeve credit, no band member listings, no barcode, rounded inner sleeves etc etc. If you require any other details to confirm its authenticity please do not hesitate to contact me.

CONDITION:

VINYL MINT- This is the cleanest copy of 'The Wall' that I have ever seen. The vinyl has been stored in polylined inner bags rather than the cardboard inner sleeves and is virtually pristine with stunning audio throughout.

OUTER SLEEVE NEAR MINT The gatefold sleeve is superb with only very faint discolouration along the spine.

I am not going to write a thousand words about the condition of this record, but suffice to say I very much doubt that you will find an original 1979 UK pressing in much better condition.

Prices include both the Royal Mail postage fee and 70p towards my packaging costs.

All records will be removed from their outer sleeves and then placed in a new polythene sleeve, before being carefully packed WITH TWO CARDBOARD STIFFENERS and posted in strong new Covers 33 mailers (although I do try to re-use good quality heavyweight packaging whenever practical). Please try to recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just help to offset the damage done when it was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of old tyres.

Certificates of Posting are obtained for all packets despatched, without exception.

I always strongly recommend that you select the insured option for postage irrespective of the value of the contents. Naturally, I will happily provide buyers with any necessary paperwork in the event of them having to make a claim against Royal Mail, but if you do not select the insured option, and your parcel is damaged or goes missing in the post, then you will not be entitled to any compensation, it's that simple.
