This is an early UK Original press of 'The Wall' by Pink Floyd. This press is complete with the earliest one piece gatefold sleeve, with only one seal on the top edge. The early SHSP 4111 A-4U / B-6U / A-6U / B-2U matrix and the original die-cut curved edge inner sleeves. Released in 1979, The Wall is their second biggest selling album.
The records are in Near Mint condition. The vinyl is exceptionally glossy, every track looks absolutely sensational. There are a couple of the very faintest marks from where the vinyl has been removed from the sleeve but these are completely insignificant, the vinyl is superb. The vinyl is jet black and every groove looks like new. The labels are extremely clean, the white is bright, the text is sharp and there is NO spindle wear.
The sound is extermely rich and vibrant. All tracks are clear, there are just a few moments of very slight noise as is common to this LP however every track has fabulous audio separation and clarity throughout.
The 1st press die-cut curved edge inner sleeves are in Near Mint condition. The cream is extremely bright and the text is unworn. The edges are exceptionally firm, they are just like new.
The gatefold sleeve is in Near Mint condition. The creamy white is exceptionally bright and completely clean. The lines are sharp and the edges are extremely firm. The inside is sensational, like new, and it clearly displays Roger Waters credit last on the right edge. The spine is firm and the whole cover still feels exceptionally solid. It is in fabulous condition.
