Per Wikipedia, The Wall is the eleventh studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 30 November 1979 by Harvest/EMI and Columbia/CBS Records. It is a rock opera about Pink, a jaded rock star who constructs a psychological "wall" of social isolation. The album was a commercial success, topping the US charts for 15 weeks and reaching number three in the UK. It initially received mixed reviews from critics, many of whom found it overblown and pretentious, but later received accolades as one of the greatest albums of all time. The album up for bid is a 1979 release by Columbia Records. The album was manufactured by Columbia's Terre Haute pressing facility. It consists of 26 tracks with a run time of 80+ minutes. Three singles were issued from the album: "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2" (Pink Floyd's only UK and US number-one single), "Run Like Hell", and "Comfortably Numb".
The cover is in VG condition. There is mild wear on the corners and bottom edges. There are no split seams, bent corners, tears or markings on the covers. The interior covers are in VG+ condition. The colors of the artwork on the interior covers is excellent (see photos).
The paper inner sleeves are original. However, the sleeves have split seams. I have replaced both recordings in an anti static vinyl sleeve for added protection from dust accumalation.
The recordings have been cleaned and tested using Audacity. All tracks were played through and all tracks are free from skips. There is mild background noise consisting of "clicks" that are random in nature and do not interfere with the music. The sound quality is crisp and clear. The record surfaces show mild to moderate wear but there are no detectable scratches or scuffs to the touch. The record surfaces retain their gloss and all labels are clean and intact. All in all, this is a very acceptable recording of one of the best-known concept albums of all time and would rate VG by Goldmine standards.
