PINKY WINTERS pop jazz LP 10-inch on VANTAGE orig HEAR

Artist:   PINKY WINTERS

Title:   “Pinky”

Label:   VANTAGE  (Hollywood, Calif.).  Label is white with green text.  Monaural pressing with  flat edge and deep groove.  Catalog number is VLP-3.

Personnel:  Pinky Winters – vocals;  Bud Lavin – piano;  Jim Wolf – bass;  Stan Levey - drums.

Year:  1954

Condition:

DISC:  Visually record grades VG+.  Play grade is closer to VG due to light hairline marks and a scratch or two that produce audible series of tics in several places.  Fidelity is very clean.  I have provided a sound clip with the entire first track on Side 1 and the intro to second track so that you can get a good idea of how this plays.  The tics will be irritating in several places, but there are also long passages where the sound is reasonably clean and enjoyable.  This would certainly be an excellent filler copy, but if you insist on top playing condition this might not be the best disc for you.  I do guarantee your satisfaction, so if there is any problem you can return it within 14 days of receipt for a full refund of purchase price plus one-way postage.   But overall I think this is fairly decent considering the rarity and the difficulty in finding 10-inch albums that play without noise.

JACKET:   Jacket is nice VG+ with no major problems.   Front artwork is clean with some minor surface wear.  Bottom seam has some wear and splitting.  Top seam and spine are fine.  Reverse has minor surface wear, but is overall clean with no writing.  There is a very small original price sticker on the reverse.
