Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years, long after records were replaced by reels, cassettes and CDs. While not all the items I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  
TITLE & ARTIST: "Bozo at the Circus" - by Pinto Colvig on the Capitol Records label (DBX-114), in EXCELLENT condition, released in 1948. 
CONDITION OF JACKET: Excellent, with very light edge/corner/spine wear; 44-page fully annotated booklet with extremely light page wear; Note: the bottom right corner of all the pages is missing with no explanation; it's a small thing but a mystery (Please see photos of actual item offered).
CONDITION OF DISC(S) - Excellent, with a few very light scuffs and a few fingerprints to glossy surface. Dark blue label.  
SPECIAL FEATURES: This wonderful record "album" (from the days when a record album was similar to a photo album, including several records and often other illustrations) is part of Capitol Records great series of "Record Readers" records from the '40s and '50s. Each album includes multiple song records. Most of the albums are almost priceless, featuring such beautiful booklets and such heart-warming songs. The booklet in this album includes Bozo's observations about the animals in the circus, along with other elements of the Big Top. It was intended not only for listening, but also for following along. The inside back cover is filled with other Capitol album listings. Prized as collectables, these records still play beautifully and can still provide countless hours of delight for young and old listeners alike. This one is of particular interest, as its gorgeous full-color images would made stupendous wall decorations for any young child. Please don't miss this amazing album.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any record and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++/EX (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
