Scarce original 1990 UK 4AD white label test pressing14-track vinyl LP from Frank Black, Kim Deal (The Breeders & The Amps), David Lovering and Joey Santiago. Unsigned this is worth $45-80 US Dollars. Condition: Vinyl & handwritten labels in perfect condition. The condition of this is about as MINT as it gets; it's unplayed, unmarked and unscratched. There are NO fingerprints or dirt/dust on the vinyl. The ONLY writing on the label is "PIXIES Bossanova". This was written in red pen or marker by someone at 4AD. It is faint but much more legible than it appears in the photo. _ Initially the record was purchased (1997) New & UNPLAYED from a record wholesaler in CAMDEN TOWN. (London, England) He was formerly a 4AD warehouse employee and had a good amount of promo 4AD records in his personal collection. This is where this the White Label PROMO/Test Pressing originally came from. It wasn't cheap!
The record was autographed at The Grog Shop (Cleveland Heights, Ohio) when he played there on October 3 1998. The signature is a "double signature" as it was signed once with two[2] Sharpies in the same hand! Very Cool and unusual signature.

Originally released in August 1990, 'Bossa Nova' [produced by Gil Norton] was written by the band's frontman Black Francis, and it marked the point where his artistic control over the band became absolute. Includes the singles 'Dig For Fire' & 'Velouria'. Bossa Nova reached number 70 on the Billboard 200. The album peaked at number three in the UK Albums Chart. Two singles were released from Bossanova, "Velouria" and "Dig for Fire"; both charted, at #4 and #11 respectively on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart.
